If you’re looking to start guitar lessons for yourself or a family member, one of the first questions you probably have is: how much do lessons cost? At Chagrin Valley Music, we offer flexible lesson options, expert instructors, and a supportive community to help every student succeed.
Here’s everything you need to know about pricing, scheduling, and how we run our lesson program.
💵 Lesson Rates (Current)
Our private lessons are held weekly at the same day and time, Monday through Saturday. Choose the lesson length that works best for your schedule and goals:

30-minute lessons – $158/month

45-minute lessons – $237/month

60-minute lessons – $316/month
💡 Billing is processed at the start of each month via our Teacher Zone platform. We accept ACH and credit card payments (credit card payments include a 3% monthly processing fee).
🎶 Instruments We Teach
Our instructors are experienced, professional musicians with degrees in music, active performing backgrounds—or both! We offer lessons for:

Piano, voice, strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, child or adult, we tailor your lessons to meet your individual goals.
📅 Lesson Scheduling

Lessons are scheduled at a consistent weekly time, Monday–Saturday.

If your availability changes, we’ll do our best to adjust your schedule or pair you with a different teacher.

Please give us 7 days’ notice if you decide to stop taking lessons.

Each teacher uses a different approach, which may include:

Handwritten assignments in notebooks or method books

Digital communication through Teacher Zone
Parents can check weekly assignments and instructor notes via Teacher Zone or their student’s materials.
❌ Missed Lessons & Make-Ups
Need to miss a lesson? You have 3 easy options to notify us:

Cancel via Teacher Zone (24+ hours in advance will “bank” the lesson for a make-up)

If a teacher must cancel and no substitute is available, you’ll receive a refund:
